There is plenty of data, but management has no situational picture to steer with. We design the data foundation of the situational picture so that the same information serves information-based management in normal times and in a disruption.

Why the same information for normal times and for a disruption
A preparedness system that is not used in normal times will not be used in a disruption. In a disruption management needs an up-to-date situational picture, reliable information and clear decision points. Information-based management needs the same things every Monday. That is why preparedness is not built into a separate system. The same information, the same views and the same people work in normal times and in a disruption, and in a disruption only the rhythm tightens.

We start from what is decided on the basis of the situational picture, who decides, with which information and how often. After that the data contents are defined, and only at the end the views.
The first version for everyday use
The first, limited version is built for everyday management. Preparedness use is extended on top of it. A tool that is used every week can also be used when there is no time.
An assessment of continuity
We assess which systems and suppliers your critical information depends on, how the information can be moved and how it is used in emergency conditions.
A data foundation under the situational picture
The situational picture is only as reliable as the data production under it. The sources are combined and the concepts defined with the same method as in other data production.

- an assessment of the dependencies of critical information

Evidence
We have produced concepts for health and social care situation centres in several environments. They define how resource and activity data are combined for operational steering, how the data sources are harmonised and how the responsibilities are agreed. We will describe customer-specific details once the customer's permission is in place.
