When every report was its own truth
The county bypassed the traditional data warehouse and built a lakehouse architecture as soon as it began operating. Data production moved to software engineering methods through four changes: from SQL queries to PySpark, from hand-validated pipelines to unit-tested transformation functions, automated testing and deployment (CI/CD), and data contracts that travel with the code. After that, new functionality went into production every week. The way of working is documented so that it can be repeated. The work began in 2023 and continues.
Moving to the Data as Software model has fundamentally changed the way we approach data production. We want to understand data and produce knowledge.

AI Lab: a survey of AI models in health and social care
The joint survey identifies and assesses AI models developed in university hospitals and wellbeing services counties. The aim is to find the solutions with the best chance of adding value to services and decision-making. Invinite is responsible for carrying out the survey. On the basis of the survey, Istekki has started a continuing workshop with its customers, and a scientific article is being prepared from the results.
