Two years ago there were three of us. All fifteen people in our team are specialists.

Our customers' data resources cover the health data of about half of Finland's population.

The platform is built, but you get two different figures for the same thing.
We move data production to software engineering methods: tested transformations, data contracts, automated testing and deployment. Each concept is defined once, and the definition travels with the code.
Data as SoftwareYour suppliers deliver what was agreed. The whole still does not work.
We can take on technical ownership of the whole for the duration of the implementation. One party is then responsible for architecture, interfaces and quality requirements, and we review other suppliers' changes as well. Each supplier remains contractually responsible for its own delivery.
Technical ownership of the wholeYou face a platform or procurement decision you will live with for ten years.
Together we define what to buy, in what parts, and what stays under your control. The platform can be built in the public cloud, in your own environment, or both. We design it so that you can replace a component without rebuilding the whole platform.
Data platformOur main sector is health and social care. We apply the same principles in the security and defence sector, and they also suit critical industry: control in your own hands, replaceable components and a situational picture that also works during a disruption.
What responsibility looks like in practice
The same person draws the architecture, reviews the code and helps decide how it is used.
In every customer engagement we work in a role where decisions about the solution are made: as architect, lead developer or the person responsible for operational change. We are a consultancy of 15 people. That is enough for a large project, and we still fit in one room.
Quality is built into the code, not inspected in the report.
Transformations are written as functions that a developer tests on their own machine. An error shows up within minutes, before the figure reaches a meeting and becomes the basis for a decision.
We build so that you can carry on without us.
We do not own our customers' solutions. Documentation is written together as we go, so no separate handover phase is needed. You can buy the work as a project or a continuous allocation, and the first part may end in a recommendation not to continue.
